Welcome to the community. You have a valid question here. The auction will only close when there are no further bids. Let's say the closing time is set for 1PM, but at 1:03 PM another bid comes in, the auction will wait till 1:04 pm. If no further bids come in you win the auction. However, if another bid comes in at 1:0345 the time will be increased by another 4 minutes to 1:08 pm. This can go on for several minutes until no further bids come in within those 4-minute increases. Hope this helps.
