San Pancho is also known as San Francisco...a few miles North of Sayuliata (which is the answer to the last clue of "the world's longest rideable wave"...so you must be going to Sayulita if you win the auction!) We first discovered this area back in 1996 when staying in Bucerias, and it was quiet back then--really enjoyed it...getting more popular, but haven't visited the area since 2000.

San Pancho, aka San Francisco, is still a sleepy village. There are a couple of palapas on the beach, where we enjoyed some delicious ceviche and cold margaritas. Great restaurant called Las Olas just a block or two from the beach. Bird sanctuary on the beach with thousands of birds. Very cool. You can take the bus or a taxi from Sayulita to San Pancho. In fact, we took the bus from the Puerto Vallarta airport up to Sayulita, which is where we stayed. San Pancho was a day trip for us.
