katie, Iridaceae or Iris and of course Mimus Polyglottos or theNorthern Mocking Bird.I have aplace in TN (with several beautiful Irisbeds), so I know the flower well.
As for the Mocking Bird, we share him as the official state birdwith four other states, Arkansas, Florida, Mississippi and Texas....they are chatty and love to sing and often fill the limbs of thehardwood treeson my property.

Hey, mountie, you better check with LL, they may be offering your place for rent! Can you cook breakfast for four people and do you have chocolates and a fruit platter for an arrival gift?
Yes, the mystery destination has to be Tennessee!t-2-f

LL_Moderator_ks, I know t-2-f just likes to get on my case, but I don't mine. This happens to be a very beautiful week up here in Tennessee. The skies have been clear and blue and the leaves are just starting toexpose their Autumn colors. Soon it will start to get a little too chilly and I will need to head to the warm waters of the Keys and do some fishing!

mountie, why don't you organize a VIP Event at your Tennessee hideaway and maybe you can get a group of us to attend?
