The new Colonial Mexico auction doesn't seem to be working

I tried bidding on the most recent auction - both on my iPhone and laptop. Each time I get a message that the bid failed.

Has anyone else had the same problem today?

Did not notice a problem. However, the auction is over by now.

I believe she is referring to the NEW colonial Mexico auction. I had a lot of problems a few months ago with the same issue. I rebooted and tried until it worked.
