Hello, I have a general question, has anyone swam with the pink dolphins? I've read so much about them . . . can anyone recommend a place to stay/visit in the area? I wasn't aware that you could even swim with these beautiful creatures.

it has been a while since I went to the Rio Negro, but I think one still does not swim with the little fishies called piranha. At least, I wouldn't!!
I believe that you can swim with the pink dolphins in Hong Kong. They are so beautiful to watch, no matter whereyou see them.

I believe the old Tropical hotel is still there in Manaus--it used to be lovely! Maybe someone here can offer more options. I will try to reach my friend who used to work with the Amazonas river cruises and get more info to post in SA boards.
