That's what I figured, too. I may have to bid on this one since I'm going to be in Italy for the first three weeks of October. It would be great if some of the previous bidders dropped out because of the date restriction

We will be in Northern Italy starting Monday, but have been to San Remo before. Hope you win the mystery auction, but if it goes too high, you can just buy it on regular auction for not much more.... so watch the price. Some people have been bidding again in $100 and $200 increments.... don't they ever learn that this is a 1 Dollar auction....

I agree, LLTF. I guess people get excited and think they're going to scare others off by bidding high.
