10-04-2007, 07:16 PMWon an Auction, but Unable to Take the Trip
I won an auction in March and must complete travel by November 21st. Unfortunately, I have not been able to use this wonderful 5 night Caribbean package for two. It includes an oceanview suite. Would anyone be interested in taking it off my hands? The package is transferable. I'm asking $1, 373. The retail value is $2,143.00.

The vacation is at Old Bahama Bay in Grand Bahama Island. You can view the property at oldbahamabay.com
his 5-night package for 2 includes:
5 nights in a Suite with an ocean viewRoundtrip transfers from the airport to the hotel *Chilled champagne in your room upon arrival3-course dinner for two, on one day of your choice**
Use of water sportsFully equipped fitness centerBicycles, board gamesTaxes and service charges
Blackout dates may apply during major holidays and special event periods, and alcoholic beverages are not included with the dinner.
The trip must be completed by November 21, 2007.
I have checked with Luxury Link about transferring the package to another traveler, and their reply was, "Luxury Link packages are indeed transferable. We require the name, phone number, and email address of the new traveler to complete the transfer."
Thanks for your interest. If you'd like to proceed further, let me know. We can arrange payment via PayPal.

hhinteriors, I am checking on air fares and schedules. For me, the travel window is very narrow and the flights are limited. Are you open to offers on this package or are you firm on your asking price (LL has the same auction package available right now and there is a asking price differential)? Thank you.hhinteriors wrote:

Thank you for your inquiry. Would you please direct me to the similar package so that I may see the price difference?

I'm not interested in your particular offer hhinteriors (it just doesn't work with my schedule) but I like the idea of your posting here at LL to offer it to somebody else! Too bad you can't use it yourself. You may, however, want to post this in the General Announcements and/or in the Caribbean destinations section so that more people see it. Good luck transferring it to somebody else!

Just a suggestion, I once bought a package that I couldn't use and I ended up donating it to a local charity for their auction. It was a win-win, I got the deduction and a worth while organization got the money from the sale!

hhinteriors--did you ask the hotel if they would extend the dates for you? It happens sometimes.
