Announcing: Seasonal Pricing!
Hi Community - We just launched a big new change to the site that we're calling, Seasonal Pricing!
What is Seasonal Pricing?
Seasonal Pricing is basically collapsing packages with different price points caused by different validity ranges into one package.
Take for example Blue Palace Luxury Hotels - Blue Palace Five-Star Hotel Deals | Luxury Link
Here you have two packages with a few different price points. It shows up on LL as seven rows on the listing page and seven packages on the description page. This makes it very difficult for you - our users - to figure out why so many packages are listed and then to have to go through each and every one of them to select which one is right for you. Take a look: Blue Palace Resort & Spa in Crete, Greece - Hotel Travel Deals | Luxury Link
What's going to change?
-Our listing pages will be cleaned up, by only showing you two packages at the lowest price point for a property at one time.
-Once you're in the property description page you will see those two packages from the previous page, plus any additional higher price point packages that are available (as Auction and/or Buy Now).
-The validity dates you selected will carry on throughout the checkout process.
We will update our "How To" video on the property description pages to reflect these changes shortly.
We hope this will clean up our site and make it much more user friendly! Take a look and, as always, we'd love to know what you think!
Best,
LL

This looks like a great change. Maybe it will encourage properties to list packages further out (date wise) when they can list this way.
Keep up the great work!

Hi KS I guess this will affect showing the dates on the main page? I was checking South America destination section for 2012 offerings. Last week, I could see the dates without going under the individual property. Now, the dates are gone. However, if I go to Family Getaways, the dates show there whereas last week, I had to open the individual property to see the date.

Katie,
Looks like Bonneyjoy is correct. LL made the change not long ago to show the dates in the posting w/o opening it up, making it much easier to shop. It seems taking that away puts us back a step. Bummer. Any way to incorporate both?

I too miss seeing the dates on the front page - now I have to open up every package that I may be interested in to see if the dates match my vacation time frame - I hope you can bring that feature back!

Here's another vote for being able to see property availability dates on the main page. Its very helpful when you can travel only certain dates or months of the year.

Hi Katie,
This looks like a nice change and hopefully, this will eliminate some of the complaints from people not getting the dates they wanted.
Great job!
