Are you referring to Merilee Kern's articles? LL doesn't seem to want to address our questions about her blog. I've commented and no seems to care that her articles aren't about travel. I believe she was invited as part of the Travel & Leisure magazine partnership. She's obviously a talented writer; just irrelevant to travel, IMO.
Maybe LL will comment soon.

As for spam blogs: unfortunately there is not much we can do to prevent those. However - with your help - we try to remove them as soon as we're able to.
