LL Hat Photo Contest

I remember I won a "hat" contest in Kindergarten in the 60's. Maybe we could have a LL ball cap hat contest to decorate the hats with our favorite things from foreign lands!!! WEO!

I already have the markers for my leopard print version! great idea!

Love it K!!!! I can't wait to start designing my hat based on my trip to Costa Rica...hmmmmm....what should I do? Can I draw howler monkeys on the lid?

I have this mind picture of Mountie, sitting on a long airplane journey, quite bored, and coloring away with black marker ink on the LL cap. Or playing around with PhotoShop before submitting it.

Of course then the submitted photo might be disqualified, because the 'official' cap is white, and any black or otherwise decorated caps would not be allowed in the contest. But it would sure be a lot of fun to see some colorful decorated hats!

My Luxury Link cap is black. It has always been black and I have never altered the original color.

Yes, yes, yes, the Luxury Link caps came in two colors. If most or all of you have received a white cap, there is a reason. You can ponder that for a while.

Just remember, mine is black!

Think I'll remember President Reagan's famous quote here. "Trust but verify." It would be great if you could use your powers of persuasion to get them to post at least a sampling of the pix, including yours.

Actually, I'm a little jealous of the LL staff, they got to hoot & holler, moan & giggle over the submissions, and didn't allow us in on the fun. WHOOT!

I'm making out my packing list for Peru and I remember to include my BLACK Luxury Link cap. I plan to submit a few more photos for the contest just as soon as I return. Doesn't seem to be a rush to publish the photos, so I guess I have plenty of time.

We all look forward to seeing a pix of you in Peru in your LL cap. I'll be drooling with envy if you are also wearing one of those gorgeous alpaca sweaters too. Or a colorful serape. Should you go to a weaving area, watch for dye pots to dip your hat into and transform it to any color your heart desires, even to make it a blacker black!

The Textile Museum in DC is sponsoring a trip to Peru shortly so there must be some dye pots around somewhere.

At any rate, big wishes from us for a great trip - without a stiff neck (from looking UP at all those 'mounties' :-) )

katie, I forgot to mention this. I was having Happy Hour the other night in Key Largo and wearing my 'black' Luxury Link cap.

One of the cute young ladies at the bar asked about Luxury Link and told me she really liked the look of the cap (I think she just wanted me to buy her a couple of drinks and of course, I did).

I told her she could buy one of the caps by visiting the Luxury Link on-line store. I also suggested she get one of the Luxury Link tank tops! I gave her my LL code, so she could get a discount.
