To let people think they may have a chance to buy for $1 and bid more is the purpose for the contest information remaining on the page.

how could you be sure since the winner hasn't been updated for long?

I am juwt noticing that they have it posted again, after being gone for a short time is all. I don't believe they have posted online the winners from other past contests either. That would be consistant with other companies that run contests ......names of winners are not posted on their site. I'm not sure why that is the norm. Usually to get a list of winners you have to write and request the information. I wonder if that is the case with LL. Anyone in the lL community or a LL concierge know?

I did see that the winner of the quarterly contest was posted on facebook, along with a photo of the HAPPY couple. I'd be happy, too! and a touch jealous....
I think there is a legal requirement in most states to offer winner(s) names by list or as LL site says, it is supplied by their link (not updated, obviously)
Same with the Mystery auction monthly drawing.
