I noticed that there's no auction of the day today -- presumably because it's a weekend?

I must compliment whomever does this web site - whenever something new is mentioned, it is always very easy to find on the homepage. That is so rare! Some web sites have so much information that it is almost impossible to locate anything. It's really not the fault of the designer - sometimes it's just over- thought maybe.



Anyway, thanks LL for "keeping it simple" and easy for us to navigate.

Thanks for listing an 'auction of the weekend' in addition to the auctions of the day! This is one of the first things I look at when I visit the LL site and it's great to see it extended to the weekends as well.

What happened to Auction of the Day?



This is the main thing I loved about this site.



I don't see it - looked at the home page, and looked at tomorrow's auctions (all 16 pages).



PLEASE don't tell me it has been discontinued.



BTW, today is Wednesday (not a weekend)

what in particular did you like about the 'auction of the day' if you don't mind me asking?

What did I like about it?



I like having a new deeply discounted aution every day (was it Tue-Wed--Thu-Fri?).



- It would bring me to the site on a regular basis (most every day)to see what the Auction of the Day was. I was actually quite familiar with many of the packages that had been offered..



- It would be something new each day.



- It would be a discount off what the same package is normally offered on the site. It felt like a "good deal" in the way that the other auctions don't.



- It would be a location that I know of (not a mystery). Mystery auction will never work for me - I need to plan, and am not going to spend hundreds of dollar plus incur the need to buy plane tickets without knowing where I'm going



- It felt that there were enough of these (four times a week) that I wasn't "stepping on somebody else's toes" - I don't want to take somebody else's trip away from them by bidding on something that has a lot of bidders.



I'm pretty disappointed that they are gone. I liked knowing about this rather unknown source of discount travel packages and having that available to me when I was planning a trip. :shrug:

I loved the one days! There would be some very interesting offers. The excitement was real and at times, promoted salivation!! I find that when I recommend LL to friends, their biggest complaint is that it's just so much to absorb for a visit or two. They don't always have time to explore LL. Maybe the one day auctions would encourage repeat visits--I'm with ferret--bring them back, please!
