Some more new stuff on VIP Certificates.

I was just notified by the LuxuryLink.com Accounting <[email protected]> who wrote:

Jane Doe has purchased a $250.00 gift certificate for you good towards any package found on Luxurylink.com.

Gift Certificate Code: LLC-xxx

To redeem your gift certificate, enter the above code in the "promotional code" box after you submit a bid or "buy now" request."

Number One, I did not purchase a $250 gift certificate. I assume this is my VIP gift certificate announcement for the 3rd Quarter.

Number Two, about a year ago LL had done away with the dash in the LLC Gift Certificate to be entered as LLCXXX. Now apparently we are back to LLC-XXX.

Number Three, the new LLC gift Certificate does not show any expiration date. I assume, it is still valid for one year - till Sept. 30, 2011.

Number Four, in the past, the returning LL VIP members and the new LL VIP members were announced/disclosed by e-mail. Has LL done away with the practice of announcing/disclosing VIP membership standing?

What are the reasons for these changes? Can the new platform not handle the old procedures?

I certainly appreciate, receiving the $250 LLC Gift Certificate once again. Thank you very much. I am not trying to be critical, I am just trying to understand the new changes.

I believe the GC Jane Doe rec'd is the same number GC she rec'd for in July fro 2nd Quarter.
I also rec'd a duplicate of the previous Q's GC. As you mentioned, I am quite grateful for the "treat" for participating in this community, as well!!
But I agree, so far, it's a "mystery" likely not a "trick", to use current seasonal terms!

You are correct. After checking my July LLC certificate, this recent certificate shows the same certificate number LLC-xxx as the July one, except the dash was added. But why this untimely duplication, when at this point, the 3rd quarter certificates should be going out. Are we to assume we need to add in the dash again from now on?
I hope you are right that this was not a "trick" but that the "treat" will come in due time in form of the 3rd Quarter certificate, hopefully before Halloween.

OMG, I AM doing a happy dance!! I'm quite surprised & excited. Didn't expect this!

This has been my busy time of year so I've been on the road non-stop working for several weeks. Thus, I haven't been able to spend much time on LL, but then I received an email from LL about this....and all I could do was to keep reading it over & over, and blinking my eyes. How exciting!
