Re: Dubai
I am in touch with lots of people who frequent Dubai but none are familiar with this resort. Once it opens I think it will be very popular although not read much about it so far. There are just so many exceptional hotels in Dubai that the one on L.L. may not be that popular to start with. Once someone experiences the resort then we will probably find out more about it. Personally I will probably wait until I get some reviews on it. There are so many Dubai hotels I want to experience first e.g Burj Al Arab.

The Desert Palm Resort is unfortunately behind schedule for completion and may not be ready until Q3 of this year.

Re: Dubai
Can I ask what you mean by Q3? Did you mean to write 03- meaning March? Cheers.

Hi Mary-J,
I'd hazard a guess that he meant the third quarter of this year, which would mean July - September.
Cheers,
Julian

mary-j, are you sure you dn't work for the Mayor or Prince or whoever is in charge of Dubai? If you don't work for them, they should pay you! You are the most positive source of information I have even see on Dubai. The things you write almost make me want to travel there....but I doubt I ever will make that trip. It is such a long trip from the US. Keep up the good work and informative postings. Thank you.mary-j wrote:

Iwish!!!! well, Thank You. Maybe you could put a good word in for me to the Sheikh!! Seriously though, i wish you would consider a trip to Dubai at some point. I know it is quite difficult at the moment from the U.S. but maybe you could do it as a 2-centre and stop off somewhere else first.I am sure there are flights from the US,cannot rember where they are from though. But as you cansee I just love this detination. I could go on and on.
