PREVIEW AUCTION -- CHELI AND PEACOCK 11 DAY SAFARI

i have written in the past about this company, that had once long ago been associated with LL, but had left the fold. it appears that they are back, with an 11 day all in package, to some wonderful places, that i have been to many years ago. depending on how high the auction runs, this could be a really good deal.... Elsa Kopje in Meru National Park is really exceptional... if you were thinking of a safari in East Africa, in Kenya, this is likely the best safari company on offer.

obrienkf....we posted a few remarks andpix from Elsa's Kopje on the Community page (seems to get more exposure). You are so right, if the price stays in a reasonable range, someone is going to have the safari of their lives!

I spent a few days in a mobile tented camp, on private safari, in Meru. Fantastic! We experienced different varieties of zebra, giraffe, and lions than what you typically find in Masai Mara. We watched a camel caravan from the Sudan - amazing colors and beautiful people.As we left Meru for Mt Kenya, wewere stopped by some Samburu warriors - looking to have their photos taken for $$. It was grat fun posing with these young men and a fun story to take home with us.



When in the north of Kenya, try to experience something special to area. Try a camel safari for a day or horse back ride into some amazing country.



Cheli and Peacock will treat you in the best regard. Kenya still lives in the flavour of Hemmingway when traveling with the right company.

Hello,

I've been off the boards for a bit organisiing a charity event in London to benefit conservation in Africa, so I seem to have missed the preview announcement. When I searched Cheli and Peacock there was nothing listed. Does anyone know more about it (what camps and how many nights each) and how much it went for?

Looks like a nice trip -- we need to see more safaris like this, with no hopping around every 2 nights. If the winner can snag some high season dates it will be a very good deal, though it's a bit pricey for low season.
