South Africa - Sabona Wildlife Reserve, Cape Town and Paarl

I am new to LL and looking to make my first bid on an auction. I have a few questions:

1. Any comments/reviews on Sabona Wildlife Reserve?
2. If an offered package includes three locations, can you choose to do them in any order you want?
3. How is SA in early to mid November? I am assuming that the weather will be agreeable.

The package includes two nights in Cape Town, two nights in Paarl (wine country), and 3 nights in Sabona Wildlife Reserve. This seems to contain the perfect mix of action, relaxation, and adventure that my wife and I are looking for.

Any comments/suggestions regarding the auction process, the Sabona Wildlife Reserve, or any other quality information on SA are welcomed.

Do you mean Sanbona Reserve in the Wetsern Cape? I can only tell you that the safari experience I'd be pretty sure it will not be the same sort of experience as you will find in Eastern Cape, Madikwe or Kwaa Zulu Natal (or Kruger)
I highly recommend either Mkuze Falls--short drive from Richard's Bay airport, or an overnight near Johannesburg (our fave is Misty Hills Lodge and Spa, and less than 4 hours to Madikwe (lodges there vary from reasonable to expensive, but all in a very active reserve)
We really love Cape Town and the environs--the Steenberg was a great location (CPT is a very consolidated small city/suburbs) Sorry, but no personla experience at the 3 properties on LL pkg.

All that said, the pricing is pretty good for the pkg, but the transfers are a bit hefty. I have seen some very poor reviews of Dwyka Lodge. Do your homework.

Last time we did safari end Sept 2011, it was toasty--our first was end June 2007? and it was 35-60 degree range. Both were equally rewarding!

Mkuze was a great lodge; we've previously stayed at Tuningi and Mateya (exceptional--with $$ to match)

Hi thereWe live in Cape Town, and the weather in November is starting to warm up. It's the beginning of our summer and the days will be nice and the evenings a little cooler - dress in layers. There will not be much rain, if any.November is very windy in Cape Town with the notorious South Easter blowing. Certain areas, such as Camps Bay are very windy, but there are also lots of out of the wind places too. Whatever the weather, I am sure you will have a wonderful time in our beautiful city

welcome!! aren't you lucky to live in Cape Town--what area? we'll be in Limpopo at Garonga Lodge and Kapama Karula (luxurylink) in about 6 wks. Sadly, no visit to Cape Town this trip, but probably next year--De Kelders and Hermanus, as well.
