First Emperor Exhibit at the British Musuem (China's Terracotta Army)
Hello,
If you're going to be in London and are interested in Chinese history and culture, you may want to look into getting tickets for the First Emperor exhibition at the British Museum. It's the first time any of the famous terracotta sculptures have been allowed to leave the country, and you can get much closer to them than you can in Xian. There's also a very good programme of talks, artistic events (calligraphy, etc) and children's events in coordination with the exhibit, and the restaurant is serving a special Chinese menu.
Cheers,
Julian

Hello,
The British Museum will be opening late starting in January due to the unprecedented popularity of the First Emperor exhibit. From 3 January 2008, the exhibition will be open until midnight Thursday-Sunday (last entry 22.50).

Hi Julian
I had a look at the website for the British Museum via the website you included in your post. The First Emperor exhibit looks impressive as it includes material on the Chinese Terra Cotta Army. Unfortunately, I missed this exciting exhibit when it visited Toronto last year and I won't be in London in time yto see it there (as it finishes in April 2008). But, good friends of ours will be in London in March and I'm forwarding the information in your post to them. Thanks!

Curt
