Hi From Thailand!

Hey Luxury Loungers! I'm writing you from a beachside restaurant on Koh Lanta, just below Pimalai Resort (one of our LL partner hotels). I'm about to have a look around, but from the beach it looks like a gorgeous hillside property!

I had the opportunity to stay at Lebua at State Tower in Bangkok for three nights and was beyond impressed. I'll post a full blog after returning, but the highlights were:

- Huge suites with sweeping views to either the north or south of this vast city.
- Perhaps the best breakfast buffet outside of Las Vegas, included in your LL package price
- Door to door airport transfer, including a Lebua rep meeting you at the airport and walking you through check-in

OOOH!!! I hope you're taking in all the sights and sounds and smells of Thailand. I am so sorry we couldn't connect thru this last trip to Bali. I am looking forward to our stay at the Banyan Tree Suite in the near future. Did you get a chance to see the property? Not sure, but we might do a short stay at Lebua, but leaning toward going to Kanchanaburi and River Kwai resort for a few days. Hua Hin is on our list, but if you can find some new places on the beaches, we're game!

Hi Kyshel - I unfortunately did not make it to the Banyan Tree, but the TripAdvisor reviews suggest you'll be in great hands there.

I met several travelers along the way who had been to Kanchanaburi, and all spoke glowingly of it, both the scenery and religious/historical attractions. It can by visited as a long daytrip from Bangkok if you're pressed for time.

In addition to Koh Lanta I spent three nights in Railay, one of the most jaw-droppingly gorgeous places on earth. Highly reccommend, but only if you enjoy towering limestone karsts hugging perfect sandy beaches and placid, 80-degree water.

There is one true luxury resort in Railay - Rayavadee, on its own isolated beach - which I understand used to be a Luxury Link property. Rest assured I've already lobbied our account executive team to bring it back...

Our first trip to Thailand included Kanchanaburi and we loved it! Looking forward to going back to take the Hellfire Pass train near River Kwai. We ran out of time to take the train that far. The POW cemetery is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. Lovingly tended by hand by locals, it's an extremely very moving experience. There are lots of small resorts there now. (hint hint LL)
I'm guessing this trip to Thailand will not be your last, Ben!
