Maldives
Hi, I am considering going to the Maldives some time next year as my apartment in Dubai will be finished next month so I had thought about staying in my apartment for a couple of days before going on to Maldives as it is fairly easy to get to from Dubai. Has anyone been who could tell me about their time there. I have looked at many different resorts and they all have mostly the same facilities.I think it is really the level of luxury that differs between them. Also, would you recommend staying in a beach villa or splash out on one of the over-water villas? As I have said in previous posts, I like to have lots of private outdoor space so wondered if you could recommend a resort were the villas have this? And finally, which time of the year would you recommend? Certainly, I would hope to get as little rain as possible. lookforward to hearing your opinions on the Maldives. Thanks.

I cannot believe there has been no response to my post as I thought Maldives was a very popular destination. Has anyone out there been?

Re: Maldives
Hi
I was in the Maldives in November. I stayed at Soneva Fushi and it was fantastic. We booked a Crusoe style villa with our own private pool. The villa overlooks the ocean and you have your own private 'bit' of beach. The food was excellent. We also dived for the first time and are now PADI registered divers!! All for 500 dollars! The diving that is
The only negative was the weather as it rained most days and sometimes lasted until the next morning. However, if you choose January to March you won't have that problem. I would recommend the Maldives for a relaxing, get away from it all holiday. Enjoy, we did and we will return soon.

Hi roundtownnews
Did you use the LuxuryLInk package for your trip to Soneva Fushi? I am intersted in booking the pacakage...but would also like to upgrade to stay at the pool villa. How many days did it take to complete your scuba certification? Thanks for your feedback.
