Hello all. Mary - I am sorry about quoting the earlier post in my earlier reply. I'm new to the link and was not sure what I was doing. Bangkok is definitely worth of 4 or 5 nights. 2 is far too short. Make sure that you do a water taxi cruise on the river (not just the taxi service but a sight seeing cruise for 2). Also. don't forget to visit Silk Restaurant in Phuket. Have a great trip. Cheers, Stu

My husband and I just came back from Thailand. Touched on Phi Phi Island and Phuket for short visit. Shopping fantastic, but; I found it very hectic. Found a nice quiet beach resort accross from Koh Samui - in Surat Thani, just in from Hinn, - lovely rooms and great food. If you are looking for a few days of quiet, let me know I can pass on the contact info. I know they are new and the web page is still in the process. Also Water Market in Bangkok was interesting. Toured the King's Palace/Emerald Budha Wat. If you can find a good driver for Bangkok, I think it's the way to go. My husband and I used the water taxi's a lot when running around through Bangkok on our own.
