Ubud hanging Gardens

I'm about 75% sure I want to try this package when going to Bali. Has anyone stayed here? I'm just looking for some feedback. I'm a little concerned about it's actual distance from Ubud which I'ver read is 30 minutes. Other wise it looks like a great place and a great package

I believe it's not far from Royal Pita Maha and that's about 15-20 minutes from the center of Ubud. They all have free shuttles but some of the great things to do are not just in the town. There are lots of side trips that take you other directions--coffee plantations, white water rafting, rice paddies, volcano hiking, lakes, etc. You can grab a cheap taxi to get back to hotel--they are plentiful and cheap. We chose RPM because of the activities on the property--they have a sacred pool and man-made lagoon plus (it looks REAL) and yoga, spa and afternoon tea, etc. Also rice paddy/village treks. The yoga is right at the edge of the Agung River and you can watch the rafters go by at lunch-time. They have an organic restaurant down there--and it is a lot of steps+elevator to get from the bottom of the gorge to the top.Of course, each villa has a private pool and the resort has a general pool, that looks gorjus! The ahrdest part of RPM was leaving to see more stuff in the area!

Price per day is excellent at Hanging gardens. You won't miss the short time getting to town. The gorge resorts are AMAZING!

Thanks for the info kyshel. RPM does look amazing! I chose hanging gardens more for the price. I'm still not sure though. Now I've been looking at Hotel Tugu Hotel Tugu Bali in Bali, Indonesia - Hotel Travel Deals | Luxury Link. It looks so lovely. It's so hard to decide what to do when we are there, and what parts of the island to stay on. I think I will go do Ubud for a few days no matter what. Just don't know if I can do both packages. My fiance has given me a budget to work with (good idea), since we will be spending a total of 3.5 weeks in Thailand and Bali, I really can't be spending something like 300 a night the whole time, hehehe. We are also thinking of spending 4 days or so in the Gili islands. Has anyone on the forum ever been there?? I love the idea of hanging out on a tiny island with no cars, where you can bike everywhere or take a horse and carriage. Another option we were looking at was a package at this place: Zen Resort Bali,Indonesia.Holiday Resort,Book Hotel,Accommodation,Ayurveda,Yoga,SPA. The fiancé really wants to try some diving.
