I did the same thing--Dedari Suite (even tho I understand the pool is relatively cool). I also got the complete menu--yep--it's MASSIVE! Took me a few perusals to get the concept of each dining space having it's own menu offering. I think I'll stick with local eateries and nearby beach bar.
We look forward to spa allowance. I recall one reviewer saying they didn't use all of theirs--horrors!!"wherever you go, there you are"

08-12-2012, 03:25 AMWhat a waste!!!

kyshel, do you happen to have the "spa menu with all available treatments?"
I googled it and couldn't find any.
I am very curious with Waroeng Tugu, as I heard the chef has cooked for all Indonesian presidents...from the looks of the menu, it seemed like the food are mostly Javanese, rather than Balinese (i love Javanese food)

Funny you should mention it--I have it and will send it if you give me an email address on PM.
BTW--it's 29 pages PDF!!
I don't doubt that the food is spectacular. I'm certain we'll do one dinner. All I can think of is: we're in Bali; what's another splurge? It's all relevant. Prices are certainly less than what I am accustomed to in most of our travels. Hardest part will be making a decision of what menu. I might do the cooking class but I may also wait for Ubud to do that. There are so many more up there.
I am positive we will be able to use the spa credits--Boss likes being pampered! The most extravagant treatment is 8 hours and costs IDR 2,800,000 ($300) per person PLUS 11% tax and 10% service. It ends with a plunge into an ice bath--I hope I will NEVER have to pay anyone to do that to me! Seems to me a classic Indonesian massage is around $50. Local massages are about $15 for almost 2 hours. Think we'll just use the credit and get more local if we need it.
Just found this for great pics of the spa and hotel:

This place is STUNNING!
The LuxuryLink prices are much better due to perks and base price."wherever you go, there you are"

08-25-2012, 03:41 AMI'm way behind, I have not picked my suite yet. Need to email the hotel. I can't decide, I'll probably let the man pick
. Does the spa menu they emailed you include prices?

I guess it's what you want:
upper level suite, water view w/that cool tub spa or
private pool on ground level.
I might reconsider but my husband LOVES to swim. The resort has a pool for guests, so that might be fine. I adore baths and ocean views.
Oh, what to do??
copahc--Spa menu does have prices--if you send PM w/email, I can send the monster--it's a kabillion pages on PDF. Or you can email Dewi and get the whole thing.Last edited by kyshel; 08-25-2012 at 10:08 AM.

08-26-2012, 12:57 AMI won my Puri Wulandari auction. Have to thank kyshel for the excellent tip on her blog. Looks like we scored ourselves another pool villa
So I guess I won't be staying at the Ubud hanging gardens afterall. I did notice that LL lowered the price of the hanging gardens package though. It was over 1000 when I was looking at it.
Still need to decide on dates. I'm thinking after Canggu we will head to Gili for 4 nights.. then head back and stay in Ubud for 3 and then we have 2 left before we leave. I'm thinking Seminyak? What do you guys think? I'm a Bali virgin so I can use all the help I can get

Avoid Seminyak and Legian unless you want that Aussie tourist action. I'd go Tugu, then Ubud, then Gili--back to bali and 2 nights in Nusa Dua area--Benoa Novotel is good option. Avoid the gated resort areas of Nusa Dua. If you do Benoa you can walk/wander around the main drag to eat and get massages. We really liked the Novotel but make sure you get rooms on ocen side.. Not sure about other hotels in Benoa. Happy you won Puri Wulandari--can't wait to hear how it went.
Are you doing the Rejang or Dedari suite @Tugu, now that you have the villa pool?
Cheers! See you at Tugu!"wherever you go, there you are"
