Any First Hand Experience With Asclepios?
Have spoken with the owner of this facility and requested some additional information:

Hi omegaet,
The package that LL is offering at the moment sounds pretty good. Good price and good amenities, plus it is good from April 2011 to April 2012.

I have a driver from SJO lined up for places like this--it's really close to SJO and I looked at details and TRIED to want to go there...
After checking, I didn't like the secluded location, dinky pool and food offerings--all just too zen too well and too healing.
I can see TA reviews are absolutely glowing but it's just not us. I'd go bananas after second day! Good luck--it really has some good points."wherever you go, there you are"

I did get info about transfers and they're only $40RT--not unreasonable. Bet their organic wines are pretty pricey, tho!

Sounds Good
We have had a couple of message exchanges through TA from two different individuals who were recent guests at Ascleopios. The information was complementary and both said they would look forward to returning.
The food seems more than adequate and the individual services ranked high. We asked the owner to put a pencil to her ala carte pricing for spa services and to see if she could come up with a 'discounted package.' Still waiting to hear from her.
Three or four days of intense 'zen' would be the perfect tonic....and disconnecting from all electronics would be a plus.- Ω -

We compared the value of the 3nt vs 4nt, based upon their ala carte pricing:
• $35 20-minute hammam session
• $80 60-minute body exfoliation and wrap
• $80 60-minute signature massage treatment
• $20 90-minute sauna session and rest
• $40 10-minute Scottish shower
• $70 50-minute flotation session
• $325 X 2 = $650
We are also awaiting a response back from the spa owner regarding a package of services which would interest us. If she can put a sharp pencil on the request, then we might just hop down....maybe we'll wait until we get deeper in the rainy season, since the occupancy might drop a bit (and we could care less about the rains).
As I recall, there is a duty free shop in the arrivals area of SJO, so we could stock up on some 'tonic' to defrag out brains while we are getting spa treatments.- Ω -

Nice package. Isn't it nice to consider Costa Rica again. We really enjoyed El Silencio Lodge. Plus, the airfare is more affordable and easier to get to then some locations.

I have been checking some CR packages too since the airfare to CR is more reasonable - there are some nice ones on LL. This one would drive the hubby crazy - he likes to explore and if he "zened out" he may never snap out of it ;-)
I am waiting to see what shows up for winter 2012 - the hubby lost 1 week of vacation since he has to move to another branch of his company so no more vacations for us this year ;-(

After comparing the important points (at least for us) of Asclepios vs El Silencio, we opted for the latter.....a bit more expensive, but price was not the only consideration...GM at El Silencio was very accommodating in developing a discounted 'package price' for spa treatments.
