aqua wellness nicaragua
We are here. Water went out last night. Very windy almost like hurricane force tons of fun except for the no water part. Carnival cruise on land. Take water from pool to flush toilets. Wahoooooo . More later. Setting is beautiful. L3ave for jicaro on Sunday, should be better. Many monkeys here at aqua and food not bad, hope they can get some food together without water

03-09-2013, 07:58 AMMaybe it's just the way I am reading your posting, but it doesn't sound like a "luxury' experience hauling water from a swimming pool to flush toilets. Almost "hurricane force winds" also would seem to be a distraction.
Have you spoken to management there at Aqua Wellness about some sort of adjustment or compensation?
Hope things improve at Jicaro.Last edited by jsattapr2; 03-09-2013 at 08:05 AM. Reason: additional thoughts

03-09-2013, 10:31 AMWow.
denise, what's with you and your weather related travel?
Haven't you encountered mud slides in Peru and who knows what else?
Those hurricane force winds are probably blowing those yoga mats all over the jungle.
btw, that howling you are hearing might be coming from other guests and not monkeys.

We do seem to have weather issues sometimes but it always is an adventure. Water was back by the next afternoon. Isent an email to the manager & we were upgraded to an nice oceanview suite the last night. Our problem was nothing compared to the poor couple from south Africa who had rats and they did not get moved for 2 days
Place is beautiful but needs some customer service work. Will do whole blog with photos soon.
Jicaro is great!!!!!!!!! Amazing service-more to come. WiFi spotty.Roam if you want to, roam around the world...........

03-11-2013, 03:51 AMSo far, sounds different. Well maybe not all that different from your usual travel experiences. No water, howling monkeys and rats and don't forget the "hurricane force" winds.
Upgraded to ocean view nice; but I'm having problems computing everything to "luxury" experience.
Maybe you are NOT flying back through MIA, so you will have a better experience on your return flight home to sunny and warm Philly.

Something about "aqua wellness" seems inappropriate when it come to pool water to flush toilets and rats...That's too Zen of an abstraction for me.

One villa had the rats and that was poor customer service for those poor folks! Water cam back after 1 day - Aqua is a beautiful place and the villas are quite nice - staff needs a bit more training but would actually go back - full blog coming soon.

Nicaragua is already calling to my subconscious to come back - loved the country.
When we got home I had a very nice email from Jicaro thanking us for our stay, asking for any sugestions for improvement, hope we come back and also said "p.s. Hope Mr. Jeff enjoys all his coffee" The hubby brought back 18 lbs of coffee on this trip!Roam if you want to, roam around the world...........
