Aranwa Hotel - Cuzco
After reading up a bit on the Aranwa hotels - I think their hotel in Cuzco is poised to give the Monasterio a run for its money - The Aranwa Cuzco is looking pretty good. Stayed at the Monasterio each time in Cuzco but I think I may have to give this new one a try.

11-19-2010, 07:19 AM[email protected]....we did a quick "walk through" of the Aranwa in Cusco about two weeks before their opening.
We've enjoyed two prior stays at the Monasterio.
I think the Aranwa in Cusco will appeal to a different profile (maybe not totally different....but the property will not handle larger groups, such is often the case with the Monasterio).
It is a true boutique property, built in two very old adjoining buildings, but is totally wired with all of the modern bells and whistles. The rooms and suites, although not overly large, are outfitted with upscale furnishings, spa tubs, expensive bedding and a amazing assortment of antiques from the owner's personal collection.
The common areas are cozy and offer an interesting assortment of "private" nooks for intimate conversations, drinks or simply relaxing. The open courtyards (not open to the outside world) have fountains and private seating.
Their new wine and tapas bar is quickly becoming the place to be in the evening in Cusco....if you can score a seat or standing room at the bar.
The owners of Aranwa are totally committed to establishing another level of luxury in their hotels and spas.
We loved everything about our time in the Aranwa Hotel & Spa in the Sacred Valley and look forward to returning the Cusco in the not-too-distant future and staying at their lovely hotel.- Ω -

They are so helpful. I can't wait to get there.

05-06-2011, 11:35 AMWell, now that the bus has visited Nebraska, do you supposed is is headed for Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maine, New York, and Vermont?
Each of those states have a town named Peru.
I'm just hoping not too many more people get excited about visiting until my trip has been completed.
