It looks to me like the Cliffs price is coming down? Looks more tempting to visit again next year. Would love feedback on Remota also.

CRAP, everytime I start looking at a Chile auction package, I read about another after shock down there! I'm going to look somewhere else for a while and give those poor people a rest!
bonniejoy03 or omegaet, if you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for the original seven night package you won in the auction?
The starting price for four nights is now $4,080. Seems a little high.
Do you think they have simply raised the prices or does it have something to do with the time of year the package can be used.
Hi J....Can't exactly remember but believe it was half. We did go off season so that could be the reason. It is just ending high season now. It is a lovely property,. Are you thinking of going? Also, there were many other LL contributors who got the package. While we were there, everyone else won an auction on LL except one group. (they were The CLiffs members.)
j-s-2...this answer probably should be posted in the thread about the One That Got Away.
Maybe bonniejoy03 is just being kind when she writes "..believe it was half."
I can say with almost 100% certainty, you willNEVER again see the prices we purchased the seven night package at The Cliffs Preserve!
I think bonniejoy03 bought the first package as soon as it was offered and we bought the second offered package the following week.
Let me assure you, The Cliffs Preserve is a one of a kind destination.
People from all over the world payregular listed prices to stay there....and apparently, none or not too many, complain.
bonniejoy03 & omegaet, thanks for responding. Even at half the current starting price for the 4 night auction, I think the package is a little or maybe even a lot high.
I probably should have been more aggressive when The Cliffs Preserve was first offered last year. Now there is no reason to look back. I just have to look forward at what LL has to offer in the future.
Have you looked at Awasi in the desert region of Chile. It is offered for half the retail cost.
