The Cliffs Preserve - Los Muermos, Chile

exflygirl, thanks for all of the details. By the time bonniejoy03 and omegaet return and post their observations, I should be ready to try and bid on a trip to the cliffs preserve. This is why I participate in this community.

We went straight to the lodge. I think if the Cliffs is part of a bigger

itinerary, let it be the finale. Our package was from LL, and we were

there for 7 nights.

Laundry was included. A bag is provided for what you want cleaned--

the paperwork indicated we would get it the next day. However,

housekeeping picked it up in the morning, and we got our clothes

back that evening.

A dry and wet sauna was in each locker room at the spa. I used them

once (prior to getting my massage). There is also a little studio and

workout room. If the views weren't as amazing as they were, I probably

would have utilized this area more.

Weather permitting, you can be as active (or not) as you want. We

enjoyed our guided hikes and horseback riding tremendously. There were

no whales or penguins; however, there were various birds and even a

fox that we came across.



At the start of the week, we would have a cocktail at 7P and dine at

730P. As we started to do more and have lunch later, dinner got

pushed back to 8P, 830P, then 9P. The staff will ask or you may let

them know your dining preference so that the chef knows when to

start preparing the meals.

mountie...it's bonniejoy03 - not 30....and she is at The Cliffs in Patagonia and will likely be posting something shortly!

I'm back!!!! Want to catch up before I post but I can tell you.....we plan to return sooner than later!!! Fantastic. Lots of "challenges" but overcame them to have a trip of a lifetime! Now...any suggestions where to post to? I was going to post here because not sure if I can do a blog.;.....

I wonder if LL will offer the one week package again? I have no need nor would I spend the money for the $25,000.00 package, even with a staring price of $12,000.00.

Hi Mountie...really hope they add it again. It is high season right now so I guess that is why the price is so high....keep watching!



PS- Did you know that we enjoyed trout fishing while at the Cliffs? Caught some beautiful rainbow and brown trout. (of course we released them!)

mountie...LL just put up a four day three night package for The Cliffs Preserve, valid for travel through the end of March 2010 (still considered high season for this part of the world). This might interest you....or maybe you just hold out and see if a seven night package comes back into play after the high season.

Looks like The Cliffs dropped off the list. Maybe I waited too long. Guess I'll go shop the Peru or Argentina deals.
