Guatemala Chocolates
If you're interested in local chocolate makers, be sure to visit Dina's Chocolates in Panajachel, Lake Atitlan. I recently brought back several bars, each one flavored differently, and could not believe how scrumptious they were! Who would think that spicy flavorings like coriander, cinnamon, and nutmeg would be so exceptional in a chocolate bar?
I haven't been able to find a website for the business, but would love to be able to contact them. Any ideas, Guatemalan goers?
Godiva, watch out! These dark Mayan morsels are the bomb!

Try searching for links to Panajachel businesses - maybe you can contact another business in Pana and they can give youcontact info on the chocolate folks - I saw Dina's when I was there in Feb. but did not go in, although we got chocolates in other places in Pana and Antigua - love dark chocolate!!

Hi S. Please contact Jennifer at Casa Palopo. She will be able to offer some suggestions. She knows the area quite well and might even know the owner....good luck!

If you don't find them:
try Guy at Tul y Sol Restaurant (and paragliding)

he's also a chocolatier from France in San Marcos La Laguna--he may have more sources?
