I actually wrote a HUGE piece on the whole trip, but in writing it exceeded my login time and the piece was lost when I had to login to post it. I haven't gotten around to redoing it. So I should post something in the meantime.

The headline is FABULOUS TRIP -- SUPERB PROPERTIES -- GREAT SERVICE.

The package we bid on is not exactly on the site right now, though there are similar ones. We put together one package in the Sacred Valley with one at Titilaka. That took us (after arrival and a day in Lima) to Urubamaba Villas for the Sacred Valley, Inkaterra Machu Picchu, La Casona in Cusco, the Titilaka at Lake Titicaca. All the properties were excellent, some exceptional even beyond that, with good food and excellent service. In each case the guides chosen for our excursions were first rate. The management of our itineraries and hand-offs among locations were very well-managed. So to anyone looking at these options for bid or purchase, I would recommend them strongly. As previous readers would note, I was one of the persons seeking information and concerned about some of my first contacts with the booking offices. So I am here to reverse any concerns I might have raised with later readers. If you're thinking about going, just do it.

In addition, Peru is magical and magnificent. There is an excellent tourist infrastucture to assist with planning, touring, transport, etc. but with enough wide-openness that you can be a traveler. As a North American, it was great to get a deeper feel for Incan and pre-Incan cultures too as an addition to my closer-to-home experience of Aztec, Mayan, and North American nations.

I will try to remember to post a longer trip account with the observations and advice for future travelers. But if you're reading this to think about whether to take one of those trips to Peru through LL...don't hesitate.

to everyone, GO for it - just get through the initial irritation of dealing with Ink's staff in planning. Perhaps by now they have cleared up their incompetence and have staff as good as the ones as their lodgings in Peru!

As I have indicated in prior postings, I cannot wait to go back!

-O- this is a great video. The only differences between this guy and me are:

I wasn't wearing a video camera.
I wasn't the first one through the gate the morning I visited.
I was more out of breath that this guy! For certain, I was experiencing very, very shallow breathing - gasping.
