The chances are good about the mosquitoes. I also saw Morgan's Rock listed on LL, I've heard great things from previous LL insiders!

I just won this auction as well as the Aqua wellness resort in Nica - great reviews on Trip Advisor and I don't think there are major mosquito problems = at least none I could find in my research - I am saving these 2 Nica packages to do back to back in early 2013 - my winter is already set for next year and I have not even left for my Cost Rica one yet (leaving March 6th - yippee!!!!!!)

I am in the process of confirming my dates for the 2 Nica properties. We use permithrin spray on our clothes when we go to places that may have bugs - used it in the Amazon and it really works - no damage to your clothes, no smell and it lasts for days.

Aqua Wellness Resort in Nica just went up a few more notches in my book - I requested my dates and last night there was a call on my answering machine from them when I got home from work - they said that before they confirm my date and room for my LL package, they wanted to check and make sure there were not any special requests I had, wanted to know what room location I prefer, etc. they left me their email address to email them - I checked caller ID and the call came from Nicaragua - 1st time I have won an auction and the hotel called long distance to check my preferences!

Someone else just bid and won these 2 resorts - wonder when they are planning on going - always nice to find out another LL person is going to the same place around the same time - thats how BonnieJoy and I hooked up in Guatemala!

Hi D.....did you choose Morgans or Jicarro???? We LOVED Morgans. We stayed twice. Jicarro has great reviews. We have always considered staying there again......Do you have to overnight in Managua??

No overnight in Managua (thank goodness). We will start out at Aqua - they will pick us up in Managua and then after Aqua we will go on to Jicarro - looking forward to both! We have been wanting to do a longer stay in Nica and glad to see these new packages come up - as soon as I saw they had dates for winter 2013 I grabbed them up!
Both Aqua & Jicarro have great reviews and both places look pretty darn nice - we always like the eco lodge type of places that are small - we told them we want to stay in the treetop villa that is closest to the monkeys - I read one review and the woman said she was taking a shower and one of the monkeys came right up on the deck and stayed there the whole time she was in the shower - my type of place!

Jicaro just confirmed my dates for next year and their communications via emails are great - they will arrange our casita any way we want, plan any special events if we are celebrating anything, asked if we had any special dietary needs, if there are any foods we are allergic to or do not like, etc. their transportation costs to and from Managua airport if needed are reasonable. I told them we will be arriving from Aqua Wellness resort and Jicaro said they know the Aqua folks and will work with them on arrivals so that their boat will be at the dock when we get there. I love when the initial communications are so good...... now we have something to look forward to already for early 2013!
