A trip to South America

Hi all.
I'm planning a trip to South America and have a month to give. The places I'm interested in are Peru, Chile, Argentina (including southern Argentina and Patagonia), how much time I should try to spend in each place.

Wow, you are lucky to have an entire month! I know there's a ton of stuff to do in Peru, so you may want to budget a lot of time there. I have only been to Chilean Patagonia, I loved staying at explora Hotel Salto Chico, but you don't need more than 4 or so days in Torres del Paine unless you plan on roughing it and hiking the entire Circuit.

There's lots of people here who've done more extensive South American trips than I have-they may be able to give better details. Have fun! South America has been the most fun place I've traveled!
