Re: Ensanada, mexico
hi jodi
My wife and I cruised down from Los Angeles to Ensenada last March on Royal Caribbean. We had about half a day free time on shore. The cruise ship offered several on-shore tours in and around Ensenada (e.g. to the famous 'Blow Hole', to a small village nearby where a local 'folklorico' muxucal group plays Mexican music, and a winery tour). My wife went on the 'folklorico' tour and loved it. I decided to explore the city on foot with a friend we'd made on board. The town's interesting (built along the Pacific and reaching back from the ocean along a narrow coastal plain and extending up a steep hill abouthalf a mile inland) but sadly rundown. Not a lot to do or places to shop.
As for the winery tour you're interested in, please log onto the following website, which gives you information on several vineyards in the area and tours available: http://www.enjoyensenada.com/english/wineries.jsp
Good luck!
