How far can the violence spread?
It seems every day there is another story about the violence in Mexico - just read about the new shootings in Acapulco - cab drivers and passengers were killed near the tourist areas and a headless body was found outside one of the hotels. The US state department now has travel warnings for San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato - so far my destinations seem OK. I wonder how all the expats that live in Mexico are doing and how far the violence will spread. It is really hurting Mexico tourism which is a shame since it is a wonderful country to visit.

I was enquiring about your upcoming trip, in light of recent events. I sincerely wish you the best! I assume you're still scheduled for March, so keep us posted along the way. Stay safe and have a wonderful trip.

We are set to go on March 4th and looking forward to it - other than recent events in Acapulco, there does not seem to be any "drug" related violence happening in any of the places we are going - Puebla, Mex City and Puerta Vallarta. Love Mexico and we were there during the big swine flu crazyness - nothing deters us from a good trip (except maybe Middle East type events)
