I have been to Las Alamandas twice, once with my husband, once with my sister. we all just dream of going back again. the grounds, the rooms, the beach, the food, the margaritas, what can i say. It is not a stuffy place, just take your breath away wonderful in every respect. It doesn't matter what room category you get, it is so wonderful. Every morning they had coffee service on our patio, no matter what time we got up in the AM, the coffee was there, hot and tasty. The milk that i like in my coffee was even heated. Be sure and have a massage, The masseuse is great. One morning we got up as the sun was coming up. I cannot describe the color. Everything was pink. It took our breath away. Why you would every leave this place is a mystery to me. Running out of money is the only reason. ha ha. Everything works. The fans are quiet, the room amenities are top notch, the bathrooms are to die for. The turndown sometimes features dried foot that the hotel picks and prepares. Absolutely things they do for you that you haven't even thought of. Just wonderful.

With the reported drug wars going on in Mexico, is this still a fairly safe place to take a trip? I know the State Department has issued a warning to students re: Spring Break. Cruise lines taking extra precautions?
