12/2009 Vail CO trip-need Suggestions for activities, ski rentals, restaurants-thx

Hi! Looking for some neat ideas for our upcoming trip to Vail, CO. I checked the forum and got a few ideas-nothing was too super recent however. Wondering what's new to see and do....and which adventure tours are most recommended-dog sledding, sleigh rides, snow mobiling, tubing, snowbiking etc? Also, looking for suggestions for inexpensive shuttles from DEN to Vail area, ski rental, restaurants or any other advice-things I might forget to pack, crowds/times to advoid attractions.We're staying at Marriot-a few miles from the village.
