Best New Rooftop Bars & Outdoor Terraces in New York City
I love visiting NYC but don't get there as often as I would like. I recently came across this list of rooftop bars & terraces in New York City. Several of them look very cool; I think I'll add them to my travel file to hopefully visit in the future. Have you been to any of these?
Below is a link that will show you photos.
New York City's Best New Hotel Rooftop Bars Slideshow at Frommer's
"New York City has more rooftop bars than any other American city, providing trendy lounges many levels above the hustle and bustle down below. Head to the Flatiron District, Chelsea, Midtown, SoHo, and other New York City neighborhoods for these new rooftop bars, where the cocktails are great but the views are even better.
You'll find each of these rooftop lounges at new hotels, but luckily, you don't have to be an overnight guest to join the party -- and you usually won't have to pay a cover charge to enter. However, hotel guests will typically get priority, and it's not uncommon for these popular venues to be closed for a private event. Don't despair: Though this year marks the first summer for each of these bars, most of these rooftop bars will remain open year-round."
Not all of them are outdoors but the outdoor ones are the ones I'm most interested in, unless of course, it is freezing cold or hot as heck. I also see that LL currently offers packages at 2 of them - The James & Gansevoort Park Avenue.
- Bar d'Eau at Trump SoHo
- Sky Room at Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites Times Square
- Z Roof at Z Hotel
- Henry's at the Roger Smith Hotel
- Living Room Bar & Terrace at W New York Downtown
- CafeB by Bice with Sky Lounge at Hotel Indigo Chelsea
- JIMMY at The James New York
- Upstairs Rooftop Bar & Lounge at the Kimberly Hotel
- Gansevoort Park Rooftop at Gansevoort Park Avenue NYCLast edited by jmbklj; 07-29-2011 at 05:32 AM.
