Celebration Hotel, Celebration Florida
Just returned from Celebration Hotel for the weekend. It is now an LL auction but I did not purchase through the auction (wasn't an option when I booked.)
Celebration Florida is a unique little town close by Disney World. I actually loved the town because many restaurants, shops, etc were in walking distance of the hotel. The town looks like "Main Street, USA." There is a lovely lake with a great walking area around the lake. The neatest part was the town is SO dog friendly. I have never seen so many happy pups!!! They were at outdoor restaurants, walking around the lake with families, and playing at the community center on Saturday and Sunday mornings. (found out they have a doggie group there...loved it!)
Celebration hotel is quite small; I believe a little over 100 rooms. We were attending a wedding. The property is nice however, it fell short in certain areas. For example, the first room we received was dark, and by the elevator. This was called a superior lakeside. We were told the hotel was full so didn't have too many options. The very helpful concierge/receptionist finally found us a room at the end of the hall at the attendants station......ok, so a little better but nosy when they all started wheeling their carts and working the morning. We, of course, were the last room to be serviced; 5:04pm they finished our room minus some essential towels! Very frustrating when having a family get together and trying to get ready. My father's room was inconvenienced by a pipe problem however, the conceriege/receptionist took immediate action to compensate him for the issue....great of her to do. The hotel had a few groups staying with teenage type kids roaming and getting a little crazy..guess this could happen anywhere. Most of the guests seemed to have issues. I did like the location of the property and the staff trying their best to accomodate major problems. Oh yes, while I was working on my father's issue the elevator get stuck and stranded some people! So, needless to say, for a small property, there was a good amount of chaos. I am not the type to bash a property but wanted to post some notes here.

Re: Celebration Hotel, Celebration Florida
Thanks for forwarding this useful information. I like this spot because with just 115 guestrooms and suites, its modern convenience meets turn-of-the-century charm providing an unforgettable getaway in an incomparable setting.
Though the architecture and furnishings evoke early 1900s Florida, but the property offers all the comfort as per the standards of 21st century.
