Headed to Idaho & Wyoming

I have a upcoming trip for work in May to Idaho Falls. While "in the neighborhood", I decided it would be nice to visit the nearby Grand Teton National Park since I've never been there. So I searched "Wyoming" on Luxury Link and found a nice 3 day package at a great price - the Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa, a new Iprefer property on LL.

I was there as a teen--more than 40 years ago. The park was majestic!

Love Jackson and the surrounding area. The Grand Teton National Park is one of the most majestic to visit....great hikes available and a variety of Ranger and Campfire programs. Should have a fun time.

A very nice buy, considering the price of $248 and the use of a VIP cert! Since it''s an IPrefer property and I'm an IPrefer member, I'm hoping to get a upgrade maybe to a king bed; fingers crossed. Otherwise it will be fine. It has positive reviews on Trip Advisor.

As an IPrefer member, I did get a nice room upgrade at the Porta Hotel in Antigua, another IPrefer property but that was purchased directly on the IPrefer site and before it became a LL property. We shall see.

PS. Just learned my hubby is actually considering coming along, so a king bed would be nice. Wow, that will be 2 trips for him this year after no trips in the last 6 years! Hopefully, we're on a roll!

We spent 7 days llast July at an LL property, the Lost Creek Ranch, which was fabulous. If you get a chance, go on the Snack River rafting ride for 1/2 day, It is well worth it. You will get the best views of Mt. Moran and the Grand Tetons from the river and the rise is lots of fun. Lots of wildlife to be seen, like Bisons, Moose, grisly bears, and most unusual, white pelicans. We climbed the Grand Teton in 1968. It was hard to believe we actually climbed it when we looked at it again last July. Also visit the Teton National Park. Take the boat ride across Jenny Lake and hike up to the Falls which are spectacular. Try some horseback rides while you are out there. Also, if you can, go to a rodeo.
Have fun out there, it is most beautiful scenery. In May, you will most likely still find plenty of snow on the peaks, which makes the mountains look even more beautiful. We still had lots of snow in July.

Hey L, we're back. We didn't go on the Snake River; it was a little too early. We spent 1 night & a couple days in Yellowstone and then 3 nights in Teton Village. And you're right, there was quite a bit of snow at the higher elevations. We made it to Jenny Lake.

Actually it was a great time to be in the parks, so early in the season, we felt like we had the parks to ourselves. We saw lots of wildlife - everything but a grizzly - lots & lots of bisons with their new babies....so cute.

Glad you had a great time out in Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. Isn't the view spectacular? I think there is no bad time to be in the National Parks. Any time you can get out there is a great time.
