I haven't been to the property but it has always been on my list of potentials! Please share how it was and the activities in the area. I love the Orient-Express properties!
Hi N.....I agree with you...I have always wanted to stay there and have actually told others to visit! We will be staying in November. I did notice that they added some additional packages on LL. Some prices went up but some went down....If we enjoy this stay, I would try to squeeze in another trip before April.
Hey BJ - let me know how it is - it is in my saved props and I am just trying to get the hubby to commit to a time frame so i can bid - a perfect place to do a 2-3 night stay since it is withing driving distance from Philadelphia
We will be going in November. We are bringing the pup. I think it will be a great getaway. We have been to this area a few times. (mostly sailed here.) If we really enjoy it, I will probably go with another package. Have you also looked at Family Getaways to Admiral Fells and Pier 5??
We had been to the Inn at Perry Cabin many, many years ago. I remember that the rooms were very lovely, all done up in Laura Ashley prints. The service was pleasant and the food quite good. The town was quite pleasant to stroll around in with many ship builders and ship antiques. There was also a schooner anchored in front of the place that guest could go on rides on.
Yes..it is exactly how you described. We are familiar with the area. THey are doing renovations. Not sure how it will be. We will still be in the "old" section (maybe traditional is a better word!). The pup can stay with us so it will be a vacation for all of us! The reviews on TA are so mixed. It should be a nice getaway. It is only about 2.5 hours from us.
bonniejoy03,
Sounds like a good plan. It certainly will make for a nice weekend in nice surroundings, not too far from home, with the added plus that you can bring the pup. Have a great get-away and report back. I'll be interested to hear how the Inn at Perry Cabin has changed.
when in November are you going - I need to use up the $100 certificate and saw this place was still on auction - waiting to see when in November the hubby wants to take a few days off
Mid-November. This time of year allows weekend visits. If you notice the high season is a Sunday through Thursday trip. W are going Saturday to Monday....con el perro!!!
