Wine Country Aficionados - we had a chance to sit down with Danielle Westfall, co-founder of leading online wine retailer invino.com, to get her advice on planning a memorable weekend getaway for first-time visitors to Napa Valley and nearby Sonoma County:

"My goal every time I meet with a winery I know or one I'm just being introduced is to walk away with a nugget about the wine or the winery... something that connects me to their unique story and expands my palate. In other words - if I know I love Sparkling - I love to try varietals that are atypical to the methode champenoise."

Interesting. I am still quite basic but enjoy learning about wines of the region. For example, Chile is known for their Carmenere and Mendoza is known for their Malbecs. (tah dah, that is my wine knowledge!)
