LL has added 2 new properties in Seattle that are great.
The Hotel 1000 was added a few months ago. http://www.luxurylink.com/luxury-hot...30&pkid=258230
Just added is the Pan Pacific Hotel, which has a wonderful package offering: http://www.luxurylink.com/luxury-hot...33&pkid=259031
Both are great locations. We enjoy staying in the city a few nights during the holidays, taking in the theater, enjoying the Christmas lights, and doing some shopping. Either of these would be great for that. Just check with the hotel regarding any possible blocked holiday dates (most hotels only block the weeks of Thanksgiving / Christmas if they block holidays) before bidding. Exciting ways to see Seattle if you have never been.

When in Seattle, consider taking a tour of Qwest Field - home of the Seahawks football team. Cost is only $7 for adults. Tour takes about 2 hours. Follow the link for more information. http://www.qwestfield.com/venue/publicTours.aspx

The Seattle area is one of several in the country with the lovely tradition of the Christmas time "Parade of Lights" boats parade. It runs from November 27-December 23, 2010 - mostly weekend nights. In the Puget Sound area, the Lake Washington Ship Canal connects freshwater Lake Washington and Lake Union with saltwater Puget Sound through a series of locks modeled after the Panama Canal. The holiday boat parade and festival have been a lake tradition since 1941, with crowds gathering along the shorelines to view the flotilla of boats. This year’s festival kicks off in Lake Union to commemorate the new South Lake Union Park. The Argosy cruise ship is one of the included boats (as well as many privately owned & decorated boats) that will sail to over 45 waterfront communities throughout the festival. The Argosy will have onboard choirs broadcasting through a speaker system.
Tickets can be purchased to sail on the Argosy. You can also take a dinner cruise on one of the Waterways boats in the parade:

Purchase tickets for the Argosy or Waterways Cruises on goldstar.com for significant discounts. Staying in downtown Seattle, Christmas shopping, seeing the lights, and taking a dinner cruise as part of the "Parade of Lights" would be a lovely present to yourself. Or just bundle up and watch the boats sail by.
