Shelburne Museum in Shelburne, VT
Hi,
We recently visited the Shelburn Museum in Shelburn, VT and were impressed with this wonderful museum of Americana.
Onehundredfiftythousand works of art, Americana, and design are located in the beautiful Lake Champlain Valley. Gorgeous grounds and gardens and extraordinary displays of folk art, Impressionist paintings, quilts, decorative arts, furniture, tools, toys, period houses, a 220-foot steam boat and more. New exhibits in 2007 include Shaker design, Audoborn prints, African American quilts and contemporary changeliers. There is truly something for everybody in this extraordinary museum at Lake Champlain. They are located in Shelburn, VT and are open May 20-Oct. 28. Have a look at www.shelburnemuseum.org

Re: Shelburne Museum in Shelburne, VT
Hi travelfan
You are quickly becoming a fount of knowledge about amazing out-of-the-ordinary travel destinations to be found in Vermont. What's most amazing is that you have actually visited or stayed at each one of the museums, inns, lodges, and resorts that you write so eloquently and skilfully about on the LL Community. As I've said before, this wonderful sharing of travel information, experiences and impression is in my view an exemplary use of the Community. It provides a very handy and up-to-date guide for LL Community members who plan to travel to those places around the world that you've recently been to and written about. Thanx! Again, my wife and I will be sure to take in the Shelburne Museum of Americana when we travel to the Green Mountain area of Vermont this fall (Oct/Nov).
Curt
