We recently went to Las Vegas and stayed at the Green Valley Ranch Resort on a trip we bought through LL. The property was excellent and I highly recommend it. It is about 7-8 miles off the strip so if you want the heart of the action, this is not it. But it is a marvellous hotel and the spa is outstanding. I found it a welcome oasis from the hustle and bustle of the strip.

Oh the food! Seriously, I'm not a gambler, so Vegas isn't one of my favorite vacation spots, but I've traveled there on business a number of times. I remember, not too long ago, when dining choices consisted largely of enormous buffets and a $4.95 steak dinner special. Now, most of the major chef's and well-known restaurants have a Vegas outpost. It's truly an embarrassment of riches. My personal favorite? Thomas Keller's Bouchon at the Venetian. He's famous for French Laundry in the Napa Valley and Bouchon is a more casual French bistro. The food is not overly elaborate...it's simple and simply spectacular. Enjoy your time in Vegas. And if you have a fabulous meal, think of me.

there is definitely lots to do in vegas, but here are my ten must see's/must do's(in no particular order):
1. the pool and waterfalls at the wynn hotel
2. dinner at TAO at the venetian hotel
3. lunch at Mon Ami Gabi at the Paris hotel (make sure to request for seating on the outside terrace facing the water show at the Bellagio which is right across the street)
4. the forum shops at Cesars Palace
5. Madame Tussaud's wax museum at the Venetian
6. a gondala ride at the Venetian
7. the M&M factory at the MGM
8. of course...any of the Cirque du Soleil shows..."O", "Le Reve", or "Ka" are my personal favs
9. the Blue Man Group show
10. the shark museum at the Mandalay Bay
And if your into gambling, you can try your luck at the casinos located in any of the hotels on the strip! they are all gorgeous!

Hi All,
Just got back from The Wynn this past weekend. Great place, the service was lacking but it was a very busy weekend so I'll let it slide this time. We ate at Tao, Il Mulino, and Sushi Raku. They were all very good, and there are so many choices there so this is just the tip of the iceberg. The Pool at the Wynn was great, lots of people watching, celebs, etc.
The rooms were also well appointed and very comfortable, we stayed in very high up and had a great view of the strip. Hope you can all get there soon. Enjoy !
