Ceasers Pocono Palace
Hi, wondered if anyone has stayed at any of the hotels in the Ceasers Pocono Palace Resort near Pensylvania. I cannot believe there is a resort like this! Those champagne shaped baths and the love-heart shaped jaccuzzi is something else!! I cannot decide if it is just "tacky" or really quite a "special place"? I am always looking out for unique resorts and when I came across this I just could not stop reading all about it. I decided we MUST experience this place but went on to read the reviews about it and a fewwere not very good. I am not sure if this is in the L.L. portfolio or not. It would be interesting to hear what others think of this place.

Re: Ceasers Pocono Palace
Hi Mary,
Speaking as somebody who has never set foot in the Poconos, please take my thoughts with a grain of salt. I think many Americans (at least those well-traveled) would agree that the "champagne-glass bathtub"-type hotels are pretty tacky and cheesy and are great for a fun but low-budget type of honeymoon or vacation. I don't think it represents the romance you can find in America and I would imagine even in the Poconos there are classier places to stay! It's kind of like Disney Land/World or Las Vegas - fun to visit, but not to take too seriously and not truly representative of America as a whole.

Yes Claasenam, The more I think about this place, the more I agree it gears towards the tacky side. It is very "different" from any resort I have seen before.Saying that, I might be pursuaded to spend a couple of nights there just for the experience! Who knows!

HI Mary J...Go for it! Yes, it is tacky however, I know of a few very nice, respected people who have ventured there! It actually is a honeymoon destination also. There are many other activities such as skiing, cross-country, snow mobiling, etc. The region is quite lovely.
