Why can't I use discount coupon code along with certificate code for purchases?

Lucky me, my kids gave me a gift certificate for $5,000 to use for purchases through Luxury link.
I couldn't wait to book a trip, then I received by e-mail a $100 gift promotion to use when booking.
I only saw one box to place discount code, none to enter my certificate number; when I called
to ask how to use my certificate AND the discount coupon they sent me, I was told I could only
use 1 code at a time. WHY is that? so I had to use my credit card instead of the generous
gift certificate given to me. Doesn't seem right. Why can't there be 2 boxes to check, one
for any discount codes, another for your certificate code. I told kids NOT to buy any certificates
for me this year as I am not sure I can use them. Anyone else have this problem?

Hi R....first all...LUCKY YOU!! What wonderful kids! Please do call LL direct (toll free number) to get this resolved. I cannot understand why you can't use the kids GC plus the promo code. They should be able to work this through. I believe they don't want you to use two promo codes. Please do call LL direct!!!!

Of course you can use a $5000 GC as payment. Email LL for the proper method if there is an online option, aside from applying it after purchase in lieu of CC payment.
Wherever you go--what a wonderful gift--come back and share your experience, please!

PS--your kids can buy me GCs all they want! (I keep asking my family and they just don't don't get the clue!)

I have used a VIP certificate and a bonus certificate on the same package - call them on the phone!

Hi D...wasn't aware we could use both certificates? Is the bonus certificate the $100 or $50 being offered right now? Thanks for any assistance...

I used a $250 VIP and a $100 bonus cert on my Costa Rica packages - I just kept sending emails until one day I saw that I had a $100 refund on my CR packages - maybe I was being a squeaky wheel and they just popped the $100 cert on so I would stop asking them ;-)
