Salvador da Bahia: Pelourinho's Pestana Convento Do Carmo

I stopped by Pestana Convento Do Carmo today. I couldn't help myself. I'm here in Bahia nearing the end of a three week stay in Brazil and I wanted to see this former fort turned convent turned luxury hotel in person, so I did what any curious traveler would do, and I went to The Pelourinho in Salvador da Bahia to find it.

If you have never been to an Elite Islands Resort property, then you are missing out. Elite runs "an impressive collection of all-inclusive beachfront resorts" in the Caribbean. My goal, of course, is to hit up every. single. one. And, no. I'm not kidding.

Casa Moderna Miami Hotel & Spa really is a luxury boutique hotel after my own heart.
Not only did this funky fabulous property have the heart to host 10 girls from The Miami Passport Party en route to their very first passports, but they treated me and a few of my travel writer friends to a private menu tasting at Casa Moderna's very own Amuse Restaurant & Lounge.

I have stayed at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto and imagined myself living there. I spent a week at Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel for my birthday one year and was über impressed by the hospitality of the staff.
