They were sold out of rooms when we arrived. They told me they were giving me an upgrade to the presidential suite. This suite was said to be the original suite of the owner we paid almost $9300 and nothing in this suite worked. The water is in the shower kept cutting off while we took showers. The surround sound did not work , the actual iPad was of no use because the charger wouldn’t charge it. In the kitchen, the hood was broken so every time we cook something the whole house or the whole unit smelled like smoke. Also, the fire pit on the balcony did not work on top of all that my wife and my girls got stuck in the elevator for 45 minutes and once they got stuck in the elevator. The guy is fixing the elevator had their stuff everywhere in front of the door big cords wires for four days straight we had to step over the Workers. They tried to fix the hood, but that didn’t work so we continued cooking, but they brought a fan up to the kitchen area and we had to close the double doors and open the windows and run the fan. Mind you this is the owners suite I told him it’s completely unacceptable. They offered a massage for my daughters and my wife, but didn’t offer any compensation. They overbooked and gave my room to someone else and said they were upgrading me and the upgrade was a complete disaster. I feel like I was ripped off. they Kept apologizing , maid, Butler, elevator, mechanic ,etc, of course, but to no avail did it help our trip at all. I expressed to them how can this be the owner suite and there is nobody accountable for making sure that everything works before you rent it to somebody. I told them if I was the owner somebody would be getting fired for misrepresentation. I expressed that to Management but again all they did is apologize and offer me dinner. There was never no compensation back for a room that I paid $9300 and I also had two one bedrooms that I paid over $1000 through my Exchange. I am a Villa Del Palmar member and I got treated like this. It completely ruined our trip our kids, their friends, and everybody else was very disappointed. I would not recommend this hotel or at least not accept an upgrade from this hotel because it was not an upgrade, it was actually a downgrade for my $9300 for one week. I am very disappointed. I felt Management should have done better because that is not how you treat a member or somebody that spends almost $10,000 for a week. I even asked them to move me to single one bedrooms, but to no avail. No compensation, other than dinner and at the dinner it wasn’t a full conversation compensation because anything extra we had to pay for, but we didn’t know that during the dinner we found out after they brought the check which I thought was completely Ridiculous after the Management offered us dinner. Somebody should’ve been fired the accountability of an owners suite was not there. I don’t have photos, but I actually have videos but there’s nowhere to put that on here or I would show you. They brought a miniature fan and told us to open the windows so that we can get the smoke out of the house while cooking that is ridiculous. I have videos of all the elevator guys stuff in the hallway that we stepped over every day until the day we left this was a complete tragedy again I feel as if I got ripped off and I’m a member.

Excellent resort. Excellent service. Renan provided excellent service when we were at the pool. Activities were very fun and I highly recommend for the whole family. Make dinner reservations as soon as you arrive for all days during your stay.

Absolute Paradise! Villa Del Mar Exceeded Every Expectation! From the moment we arrived at Villa Del Mar Cancun, we knew we’d made the right choice. Everything about our stay was top-notch. The food was outstanding, with easy access to multiple restaurants right on the property. Every meal felt like a treat, but the Italian restaurant stole the show – especially the beet carpaccio, which was divine! Our room was spotless, comfortable, and incredibly inviting, making it easy to relax after a day in the sun. The service was phenomenal. Every single staff member we encountered was friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to help, always greeting us with smiles that brightened our day. While the beach did have some seaweed, the staff worked tirelessly to rake and clean it up, so it never got in the way of enjoying the gorgeous views. The pools were sparkling clean, and the entertainment was lively and fun. OK, a little 80s-themed at times, but honestly, it just added to the charm. Villa Del Mar isn’t just a resort, it’s an experience you’ll want to repeat again and again. Five stars all the way!
