Q) Can you explain what makes the Tucson, Ariz., area interesting to travelers?
A) Miraval is a destination resort and spa, meaning very few guests every leave our property. The Sonoran Desert landscape offers gorgeous weather year round and guests enjoy breathtaking views of the Santa Catalina Mountains at every turn.

Q) Is there a “must-try” dish or drink that guests should experience?
A) Guests rave about our healthful, flavorful cuisine at Miraval. Last year, we released the much anticipated Mindful Eating cookbook with over 200 recipes from Miraval’s culinary team. Guest favorites include the Green Chili Posole, Duck with Cranberry Barbecue Sauce and Wasabi Potato Cakes, and Pecan-Pie Empanadas.

A) 1 - In 2004, Steve Case, co-founder of AOL, became the majority owner of Miraval. Through his own memorable experience at the resort, he saw the opportunity to grow Miraval into a global lifestyle brand.

Q) Can you take me through an average day at your resort?
A) An average day at Miraval changes with each guest. Choice is a guiding principle at Miraval, and we help each guest design an individual experience. Guests may choose to fill their day with lectures, workshops, hiking, yoga, fitness classes and more or if pure relaxation is their desire, guests may choose to simply spend the day in our Life in Balance Spa and relax by the pool.

A) Miraval is situated in the warm shade of the Santa Catalina Mountains in northern Tucson, Arizona and is surrounded by natural splendor and year round warmth. Although we have guests enjoying our warm weather throughout the year, many choose to visit Miraval from October to April for a warm getaway during the winter months.
