Following Amalfi's busy main street that leads up in the mountains, you'll find the pretty Piazza dello Spirito Santo. Surrounded by restaurants and shops, this little piazza is a nice spot for enjoying an outdoor meal surrounded by the historic buildings of Amalfi. The piazza features a fountain made of dark volcanic stone with two marble 18th-century carved marble faces. During the Christmas season an elaborate nativity is built in the fountain, which is popular with locals and visitors alike. Nearby, walk down the covered Supportico Rua, which was a main street in Amalfi during the Middle Ages.
