Right in the center of Ravello is the Piazza del Vescovado, a pretty piazza surrounded by cafés with outdoor seating and watched over by the Duomo. Nearby is the entrance to the beautiful gardens of the Villa Rufolo. Even on a busy day, this piazza has an air of calm about it that makes it an ideal setting for relaxing. On one end the piazza overlooks a valley with excellent views over to the neighboring town of Scala. Thanks to the fact that cars are no longer allowed to pass through, this is a popular spot for local children to play soccer and learn how to ride their bikes.
